  • Chronic Pain

Chronic pain is defined as pain that has been ongoing for more than 3 months. Chronic pain affects many aspects of life and can lead to increased feelings of anxiety, overwhelm and reduced life satisfaction. When pain becomes chronic and ongoing neural pathways within the brain (dorso lateral pre frontal cortex) and nervous system can change, making it more difficult to overcome the pain, even if the injury is healed or the source of pain is gone. Acupuncture can help by addressing the source of pain, the nervous system response, reducing inflammation and also targeting the area of the brain (Dorso lateral prefrontal cortex) to reduce the body’s heightened response. Acupuncture can help to reduce pain, anxiety and improve your overall life quality.
